About Bias Virus

Bias Virus is a K-pop inspired fan merch and community events biz based in Seattle, WA. We make merch for all kinds of groups; from the most popular to up-and-coming, in hope that fandoms of all sizes can represent their faves. From subtle to loud, we only release products that we would want to buy and use ourselves.


The name Bias Virus is a reference to the pervasive love you feel for your bias. We’ve all seen those “Virus Detected” pop-ups that appear on computers sometimes – we wanted to express how seeing references to your bias in daily life, like their representative animal or a photocard on someone else’s bag, can cause thoughts of them to appear just like those pop-ups! And sometimes a new member will infect you with their charms and they’ll join your bias line… that’s a Bias Virus. ;)


We’re always open to suggestions for new products or groups we should look into, so please give us your feedback and tag us on socials.

ABOUT US

Hi, we’re Mallory and Kimmi – two sisters and the co-creators / co-owners of Bias Virus.

We’ve been loving, living, and building fandom and community since the early 2000s. From watching “Fruits Basket” or “Doctor Who” via whatever website they could find to stream international TV back then, to bonding over the German rock boy-band Tokio Hotel in high school, to trying to learn Girls Generation and AOA choreo – we’ve been fans for a long time.

We’ve also been creative collaborators since our YouTube days starting in 2007. We had a joint channel, in addition to our own channel, had a podcast, made music together, and attended in-person meetups (or “gatherings”) before it was mainstream.

Bias Virus is yet another creative collaboration many years in the making. It all started with a love of our ult group P1Harmony, a sketch of a product Kimmi couldn’t get out of her head, and the question of “why not?!” so here we are. :)

Kimmi

has been a fan of K-pop since 2010, and loves dreaming up new ideas to promote her favorite groups. In her free time she loves designing and creating freebies to give out at concerts and fan events. Living in the Bay Area she’s lucky to have many fan gatherings close by and wants to help bring that joy to other fans. Her bias in P1Harmony is Intak and contributes to Bias Virus with her extensive K-pop fan culture knowledge and creative brain.

Mallory

is a Seattle-based creator, writer, event manager, and massive K-pop fan. She grew up listening to K-pop and watching anime, mostly with Kimmi. Her bias in P1Harmony is Jongseob and contributes to Bias Virus with her knowledge of K-pop and fan culture knowledge, plus decades spent in social media, building and running pop-culture businesses, and organizing community-first spaces.
